Kimchi Cold Noodle Soup

김치 국수말이 [Kimchi-Guk-Su-Mal-Ee]

It's needless to say this is Min's favorite of all Korean dishes. There is a Korean restaurant called Jong Ga House near Lake Merrit in Oakland. They serve this Kimchi Cold Noodle Soup as an appetizer, without you having to order it. Even better, you don't need to pay for it, either. Min would go there just for this.

In fact, it is really easy to make, of course if you have right ingredients. You need Watery Radish Kimchi and plain noodles.

  1. Cook the noodles for 3 minutes and drain in cold water.
  2. Serve them soaked in Watery Radish Kimchi, leaving out big chunk radish. Add little bit of vinegar and chopped kimchi on top to your taste.

Hi Migi,

There is this nice Korean Kimchi available for sales but it is located in Malaysia. You may want to recommend to any of your friends that visited or migrate to Malaysia about this.

I love Jong Ga House and that red soup also. Been trying to figure out how to make it. Question - where can you buy watery radish kimchi in oakland?

Hi Ms Emily Clay
I would check iut Koreana Market on Telegraph Ave to see if they have it. If not, how about asking at Jong Ga House? :D
